Most of our clinics carry e-collars that can be purchased for $10, or you can go to a pet supply store to pick one up to prevent licking and chewing at the incision site.

I'm not 100% sure about cats, but dogs have to be at least 4 months old and it costs $85. I would assume that cats are the same, but maybe a little less.
