Why doesn't this library have longer hours and open more days

I know right!! It's a great little library! I wish more people supported it!

The library system lost about a third of its funding 5 years ago. Before that, all of the libraries were open 6 days a week. The library was forced to close over third of its hours, they lost 1 third of their employees and one third of the purchasing budget. The library would love to be open more hours! In the north end, the managers at the time coordinated the library hours in order to maximize service to northern Berkeley county community. If Hedgesville is closed, North Berkeley is open. I hope this explanation helps a little.
