I recently saw Hickman's chicken operation on the show America's Heartland. Was horrified to see the metal cages the birds appeared to be living in. Please tell me these birds are able to free range sometime during the day.

Cage-free and they have somewhere in the neighborhood of 11 million+ chickens. Also hickmen does a lot for the community and local schools. Thank you for being a good Community partner.

Yes. They have cage free chickens and lots of them. And typically the chickens are only in those metal cages during transport to the farm.
