There is a band that plays but it is not loud and boisterous like so many churches these days. The church choir sings on some Sundays and the band does a pleasant mix of modern praise songs and classic hymns.
They do a great job of balancing the sound. I like that there's a plexiglas shield around the drums. There's a violinist that regularly joins in with the usual guitars, bass and piano/ keyboard. Plus they sometimes have a bigger ensemble with woodwinds and brass. There's lots of wonderful vocalists that rotate, and the choir sings twice a month with the band and also does anthems.
