Sketchy neighborhood but no reason to walk around. No attractions nearby. Perfectly safe at the hotel.
Uh, DISAGREE!! Sue, I realize that you posted your question over a year ago, so tbh, this is more so directed to those fortunate enough to have NOT yet booked this "motel"... I was on the bottom floor, with the first flight of steps to the second level immediately to my right... My second night of my reservation, someone was shot in the middle of Van Buren, between the strip club and motel parking lots. Yeah. Like less than 500 feet from the door to my room... You are sincerely better off camping out at the airport. See Yelp.....

Sue, had no problems, just don't think I'd go for a stroll around the neighborhood late at night. The hotel property is perfectly safe and quiet. The desk clerk can view the entire parking lot and almost all room doors so it's well monitored.
