If it's Geek Squad protection, it usually cover cracks, spills, and accidentals. However, you should of gotten an email copy of the Terms of Services and what the warranty covers. Same goes with Apple Care. Also, Geek Squad Protection may cover exchange for the same or similar to the device purchased if they deem your laptop is not repairable under store warranty. Best solution is to go into the store with your device, receipt, and ask a Bestbuy team member.

Usualky uts just malfunction ..it does not cover anything broken..tge store warranty is only if anything diesnt work like the screen or buttons or mouse...
Come inside and speak with a professional guy or gal.
