You can go to the bar without buying an admission ticket.
There is no fee to go into the bar. You can access the bar without going into the museum. The entrance to the bar is around the corner (if you are facing the building, to the right.) Walk down the side to the back, then turn left down the stairs. You knock on the steel door and the peep hole is slidden back and you are asked for the password. It is really cute. I highly recommend the bar. Unique, clever, period themed cocktails. Have a little light reading.
The museum has a flat entry fee plus 3 extra you can add on: a CSI crime lab, firearms simulator and speakeasy tour. I think you have to pay entry fee to access open bar.
The bar is in two seperate sections, the first is just a regular old bar which i believe is open to any guests, the second part is the exhibit where you have to pay to attend a moonshine tasting which is quite interesting. If you are interested in the bar I highly recommend the accompanied exhbit!
