It depends on the ride. I believe I had seen 48 in. somewhere on a measuring board. If you or anyone is shorter than about 32 in., you might not be able to ride anything, although I don't know for sure...
If you are 48 inches or taller you may ride and ride you feel comfortable with swimming in. The wave pool suggests life jackets for weak swimmers because it can be quite caustic.
