You can set up an account online to avoid the DMV. I don’t remember the exact cost but it’s less that $20 and it usually arrive in to mail in about 7-10 days.
Its free , you just have to pay about $4.00 for the card reproduction cost. Then you receive your new card in the mail in 7-10 days
