I have a 2014 outback. Can I put chains on the tires and if I can what would you recommend?

*UnsulliedSpy is correct. As an alternative, we recommend snow tires. Our favorite tire for this area are Blizzak. Changing out to an all season or summer tire once the seasons change. Some people go as far as to get extra wheels with their extra tires. That is up to you. You may contact us directly for tire prices or any other information regarding your Subaru.

Subaru does not recommend tire chains, per the owners manual, as they can cause damage to the spring seat or fender well liner. Tire cables are not specifically mentioned but when I spoke with a rep from Subaru they told me to contact the manufacturer of the cables to see if they are compatible.
