I get headaches real easy do they always have the radio that loud?

Yes...I usually wear headphones so it muffles their music and I play mine on the headphones so it's not loud or bad...but I travel a lot and have found that all the ones I have been to across the country so far do the same with their music

I go later in the evening it doesn't seem loud to me.

Yes...I would suggest ear protection.
