If you purchased it with an AutoZone Rewarda account they'll look it up in your account, no receipt needed. I have returned parts, including starters this way
They should be able to look it up under your warranty info
They are pretty good about returns, in my experience, at AutoZone.
Go to Autozone they should be able to look it up in their system and take it back
