Piercings are allowed as long as they are not infected and not coming in contact with or contaminating food. Some restaurants have a corporate policy that may prohibit them but nothing in the food code prohibits it other than on the hands in contact with food as in the case of wedding bands or jewelry. They can be worn with a glove over them.
