I keep getting a call saying you guys have been trying to contact me, but I don't trust the number don't trust the the number the area code is 833 and not 800, if you wanted to get a hold of me would it be my phone or mail?

I work for SSA. You should go online and report details of the call to the Office of Inspector General (OIG). OIG.SSA.GOV

I can relate. Usually social security will contact by mail but if they do call the caller ID will say US government. Or something like that. Hopefully this helps.
