My husband's computer was blocked yesterday and taken over by site that ran a fix. They took a lot of personal data. We are concerned that we have given away data that could be used. We have blocked his bank accounts. What more can we do?

If you know the business that was on your computer you can file a complaint at BBB.org. You can also report it as fraud to FTC https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/?pid=A. Make sure you also put a freeze on your credit if you feel like they have access to that personal information.

I am not with the BBB. But received this message from you. I'm guessing because of a review I I gave of the BBB. I am not a professional on this subject. All I can do is give you an opinion of what I might do. If I found myself in this position. My first call would be to the Federal Marshall's Office. I know that they do handle some of these cases. Ask for any kind of help or direction that they may give. I would also call Social Security Office. Well truthfully I would go to the SSI Office downtown, if you are there at 8:30am (open@ 9am). You should be able to get in and talk face to face with someone. They must have some kind of advice for you. I sincerely hope that this works out in your favor Judy !
