Does the produce manager actually bother to sample the fruit and vegetables before they're put out for sale? I purchased a pink-fleshed, dry, tasteless baby watermelon and shriveled up blueberries recently. Would you expect me to return?

Don't buy dry produce, bring it to the managers attention. I have moved on to more expensive grocery stores for fruits n veggies

I would return them.

You have to check the fruit before you buy. Or buy from a different place, alot of this places have old fruit.

Some groceries stores, eg,trader Joe's, allow you to return food items based on taste... I usually don't do that but depends on you.

No. I wouldn't think you'd return them at all! How would the produce manager know it was dry and tasteless? You, on the other hand, saw the berries were shriveled up and STILL you bought them! So keep your stuff and pay attention next time 😉
