Debit or Visa only. They keep their prices low by having a special contract with visa. It used to be Debit or Amex until a couple years ago. Costco is much better than Sams club because they pay their employees a decent wage, provide good health benefits even to part-time employees, provide upward mobility to make a career and the products offered are much better (including their house brand Kirkland).
It's the fees. They know how to crunch the numbers and make it happen. They're one of the fewer cooporation in this country not living off of government funds. In other words, they pay their employees (even the temps who also get benefits) enough to live off of so they don't have to apply for assistance. I'll always shop with this company. Sam's is a double dipping corporation. They pay their employees enough to say they're paying them all while their employees qualify for assistance and they accept that assistance in their stores. They make government funds off of their employees by paying their employees a low wage. I would rather change cards or budget cash than shop at Sam's.
CC fees. Getting their CC can offset much of their membership fees in cash back
Yes that's right, it's better to use cash anyway. They have her good products
You can always use cash.
Because they would have to pay them a fee to do so and they would rather not. This would increase prices and/or membership fees. An ATM is another option to pay cash.
Can't use Discover either. Must be part of their contract with Citi
They actually do. I use mine all the time.
