I'm so sorry for your imminent loss. Great vets, but cremation is expensive, granted my dog was bigger but your probably looking 100+ for a private cremation if you would like the remains.
I had my beloved Jack Russell terrier cremated in 2013. I remember it was about $450 and they put him in a redwood box. This was not done through Klaich but I would think they do it. We actually ended up at the emergency vet over on Neil Road and they set it up for us there.
Cost depends on whether you want your kitties ashes back, or not.. And also the weight of your animal. The cheapest option, is to do "communal" cremation, and at the higher end, is getting your pet cremated alone, and you received the ashes back. I just had to euthanize my pup. She was around 20lbs (maybe a couple lbs more). I wanted to receive her ashes back, as well as a paw print (which was $40, it came in a nice frame, with her name). The cost was about $400. They did let me make a payment. Her ashes came in a beautiful wooden box. The vet was very nice, and considerate. They understand it's tough to go through, and will give you time alone, before and after (if you so chose), with your pet.. They will give you as much time as you need, and let you make the payment before the procedure, so you don't have to deal with that after. Im very sorry you have to go through this, it's extremely hard, and heartbreaking. I am very glad I chose Klaich. They were even sent me a sympathy card.
About $150, with the cremation. They are very nice there. We have had to put a few animals down there. Highly recommend them
When my dog died we look online and found a crematorium that would take care of the pets it's based on size and what you buy for the cost as in the box at the head is going in
