The first store was opened in Reading PA in 1938. The second store opened 1982 in Bethlehem. In 1986 they had to relocate to the current store on Tilghman Street in Allentown. That's 79 years of GREAT chocolate!
They've been in business for well over a century. I'm thinking over 110 years for sure. Unfortunately I haven't approved of their candy for nearly a couple of decades, which started to taste a little more processed, plus their display effort in their store isn't very good (feels more like a sterile environment with everything stacked perfectly in little rows, and very little in other gift items they used to carry many years ago).
At least 45 years.
