Costco only takes visa credit. But will accept any debit card/ebt and our gift cards. As a side note some of the cashiers will stop you from buying stuff if you are not the person with the membership. If you are coming with a friend who has a membership the non member has to use cash. Or just have the member pay for it all then get money back later.

They take Visa Credit, Debit Cards, EBT and Gift Cards in store. Online you can use Mastercard and Discover but they don't accept American Express at all.

Visa is the only credit card that Costco accepts in store. If you don’t have a Visa, you can pay with cash, checks, ATM/debit cards, Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT), Costco Shop Cards or mobile payment apps. There is, however, one exception to the above rule when buying from Costco. If you’re making a purchase on Costco.com, you can pay with a Mastercard or a Discover card. Notably, American Express isn’t accepted by Costco online.
