Because having a "simple cleaning" when you need a deep cleaning is like getting a band-aid when you need a cast.

Soo true I made a apt for cleaning waited over a hour with one dentist on hand. Aft apr had consultation with billing. They wanted me to do six deep root cleaning at 100. And something times 6 totalling 600. Something with a antibiotic medication which I researched and didn't want because of it's side effects. I have no problems with bleeding gums despite not going to dentist in yrs. I clean my own teeth and use dental care. I went to second apt for cleaning . Receptionist asked me today 600. Up front then. I said I didn't want the shots and wanted to speak with someone about it before going forward. I was told there was one from billing there and the hygienist was to busy. I then asked to speak with Mgt. She said she and another man was. He wasn't there of course. I said ok I'll just sit and Waite to speak to someone . She also stated that if I didn't take the shots the hygienist could loose her license. Well. She in so many ways was inaccurate. I could go on. Not a good exp.
Same here! I went for a cleaning then they did x-rays and told me what I needed done then sent me to check out. Didn’t get my cleaning done at all.
