I would recommend seeing the vet. Just to make sure there is no underlying cause of the pain. You wouldn't want to give him anything to mask the pain to a worse condition

Yes depending on what's causing the pain you can use children's tylenol in small dose. This should only be used as a temporary measure until you can get your pup checked by vet
