I have never seen an issue with trash.... Most definitely unusual
Trash is removed 2 or 3 times a day.
Been going here multiple times a week for years. It has never been a problem until recently. I've been numerous time this year with huge crowds of people leaving enormous trash piles by the bins. This is still not the norm, but does happen much more frequently.

There were 6 trash cans around us and four of them had no tops and were completely spilled all over the ground and heaped up way over the top of the cans. I wish I got a picture. We didn't see anyone on the way in or out. There was a man checking for parking passes but I was too far away to catch him before he was gone. There were also a LOT of bottles and cans and containers on the ground where we were fishing. It was a bummer because it's a beautiful spot. Glad to hear this is not the norm. Hopefully next time it won't be like that.
I've only visited once and did not see the issue at that time. Perhaps you should let someone know at the entrance to the campground.
