I have a two-part question for everyone in the Rockaways: 1. Where the ¢@#$ is Frank Avenue? I've looked and asked around, and no one can tell me where Frank Ave. is. 2. So why is this station and exit named Beach 44/Frank Ave.?

Dates back to the late 19the/early 20th century. The names were from the LIRR when they ran the line. As the street names changed, the signs in the stations didn't. Frank Ave, Straiton Ave, and Gaston Ave(although renamed to "Beach 67th st-Arverne by the Sea") use to exist. About a century ago.
