I work for an electric utility as a supervisor and I can assure you that you do NOT want that. However, if you are really good at managing your electric or gas usage then you may be fine with it. The problem is that many people do not comprehend how it really works and then they get sticker shock when they receive their newly calculated bill and don't understand how it went up. They think it's a savings plan or they believe that they can use as much as they want and it will always be the same amount, it doesn't work that way.
