Get a lawyer and take him to small claims court

Joe Thompson | Oct 31, 2019

If... YOU took a title loan in YOUR name on YOUR car, it is 100% YOUR responsibility to pay that debt. If... You loaned someone money and they haven't paid you back, you can take them to small claims (civil) court without a lawyer. But... don't expect much if you didn't have them sign some kind of contract to pay it back. Go to the County Court Clerk's office on the second floor in the Courthouse and ask one of the Civil Court clerks if you have a case. If you do start a case against him, there are filing fees ($150+) you will have to pay up front. Sharon, sorry this happened to you.
