Because people go and break them and use them as toys. It’s not Walmarts fault. They always had them. But it’s also the customers that don’t take good care of them.
Unless you get there real early you dont get one. I know personally. I try to get there around 8 am and there are some available. They really need to have more and ppl need to return them to the inside of the store, saw one in the lot the other day when I was leaving the store. GET MORE SCOOTERS !!!!!!!!
Wal-Mart has motorized carts, but they are abused by the public. In fact 3 of them were recently ridden down the hill to Gabe's then left in Gabe's parking lot. Having worked retail, I can say there is no cost-effective or easy way to monitor the cart use and abuse, unfortunately.
Walmart is a good place to go to.
Because everyone uses them, not just the handicapped. I see it all the time.
Walmart needs to be more cognitive of how they are allowed to be used. Like to use one you have to scan your id and when you return it scan your id to check it back in. They will know who is using them. If the can put electric car charging stations on then they can for sure come up with a solution for misuse of a cart for a handicap person.
As Kimberly stated - people misuse them, carry kids in them, try to steal them, and Walmart has to absorb the cost - my guess is they started to grow a bit tired of the cost
