No age limit! We actually went on our way out and there werent other people waiting so just me and my boyfriend played and he let my 2 kids 4 and 5 sit. Regardless the one we were in wasnt scary or anything. And they were basically oblivious.
I'm not sure there's an age limit, but I'd guess 9 or 10 would be a good age to actually enjoy it. My 13 yr old loved it.
