No its not. Technically its up to the judge, but as long as its not a cannabis related crime then they generally don't care. I have my card & am on probation & have no problems.
As long as it's prescribed by a Doctor licensed to practice medicine in the state of Maryland and can prove that it is needed, you shouldn't have too much of a problem, however, since marijuana is still technically illegal in Maryland that might be an issue that might make things difficult for you in the future....my 2 cents
Your probation officer can let you if they choice to, however it is supposed to be ultimately up to the judge. Don't let them violate your rights for medical treatment. I went through hell with my probation officer and the courts. It's your right to receive medical treatment. The courts of the state have to up hold the laws of the state. Fight for your rights?
