If you don't have a receipt, they will give you a Wal-Mart gift card (or in- store credit), or they will also let you exchange for Something else in the same department.. And one time I returned these shorts i had bought- that were priced right under $10.. And they gave me my cash back for the shorts (without receipt).. They said if the total equals out to UNDER $10-- they will refund your cash back to you, most of the time at least.

I agree with the store credit. But honestly who doesn't have a receipt now days? If the store has the same product you will be lucky if you get your money back.
