10 and wear something comfortable and something that adds some protection. Paintball can sting. Gloves are nice because getting shot in the fingers hurts
I believe the age requirement is 10 years old. Any clothing is allowed lol. I would recommend not over dressing but dress for the weather.
If it's your first time a pair of Jeans and a hoodie will work for footwear I would recommend boots or an old pair of cleats. How ever if you do plan on playing frequently there are many brands specifically made for paintball such as empire, G.I. sports, dye, valken, and many more. As far as age limit I would contact your local arena and find out what they would allow. However the youngest I've seen has been 10-13
