Do you have box turtles?

Box turtles have to be from captive breeding from approved sources. Wild box turtles are illegal to own. The worst thing is that any wild turtles that are found in private hands are taken and killed to prevent them from spreading disease in the wild population. I'm a vet tech that has worked with the wildlife folks, so I know what I'm talking about. I've rehabilitated many box turtles that people have tried to own, it's not pleasant work. They are not pets for anyone, except experts. Get a puppy.
