I'm looking to get a dog off the streets. He's older, maybe about 12, and is missing teeth. It's getting colder. While a lot of people feed him, I still want him healthy and potentially taken in by someone. How much for a checkup and tests?

From what I understand is that this clinic is mostly free. My grandmother takes in stray cats to get them their shots and either spayed or neutered. She has taken in dozens of cats from her neighborhood and so far hadn't spent a dime.

Should I call ahead to be sure? I can't afford much but this baby deserves to be healthy and loved, and that's all I want for him. He's a good dog.
