Name a place that does not put rice in their gumbo. My friends and my self always enjoy the gumbo at Captain Toms.
I'm born and raised south La and gumbo is always served with rice. I'm also very picky when it comes to Cajun food and I have always thought Captain Toms gumbo was surprisingly quite good.
Seafood gumbo no rice. Chile no beans TX style. Those are fillers. The gumbo taste good I just don't lie rice in it I want seafood. There's a lot of places that don't put rice in the gumbo.
Best tasting gumbo ive had ... just my opinion even if it dint have the rice
