I ran out of insulin and have an appointment Tuesday ..have prescription that needs authorization by Dr ,also I just moved here. If I come in will they be able to push the prescription through?

They couldn't do anything because it was the weekend ..went to emergency room sat for about 4 hours before I was seen. Thought I'd be seen right away since I needed insulin, which I thought was a life or death situation but apparently not! They gave me a shot, wrote a short prescription and sent me on my way. But wait ✋ ..the kicker is, the pharmacy didn't want to give me the prescription from the Dr. who had provided the prescription because it was a different brand of insulin that I was using but can use as a substitute and had used and been prescribed before.. smh

You have to take a prescription to a pharmacy & they will get Dr. Authorization try Walgreens
