I wouldn't go here, they are barely better than a Pawn Shop when it comes to identifying stones of quality.
This is Dayton Ohio, bud. No one. And watch out, the amount you ‘know’ about gemstones will get you robbed.
So , I visited this Stafford's Jewelers place of business to inquire about some very rare Gemstones that I was in possession of, to find out if they could identify and appraise some of those Gems. To my surprise noone in the store could even tell Me what a Grandidierite' Gemstone was! They had never heard of such a stone worth a minimum of $20,000 per CT! In the event that I can identify those as the Grandidierite' (which they have been , by a college Professor at The Community College here in the City of Dayton! Sinclair! She had been extremely polite and very knowledgeable in Her field! She had been searching for rare stones on Her own and She was able to procure one ,a small one . So This is for The personnel whom does all of the hiring of their staff! Fantastic Job ! You've done your due diligence and for that I do applaud You , she's done great job and she is determined!
I don't know, but you could always call and ask. Someone there should hopefully be able to point you in the right direction.
