you go into the front of the police station, walk up to the front desk and ask them to report your crime they will give you a piece of paper you fill out the report. They should give you an incident number and or a copy of the police report. You should have access to both. And make sure that you follow up so that you're aware of the detective assigned to your case. The detective I had was not only carelessly, lazy, and very very rude. I just honestly do not like the way that this District Works they have harassed me accused me of things I have not done. And basically they assume you're guilty until proven innocent not the other way around. I hope that answers your question though make sure that you filed the report at the front desk and get a copy of it.
