one stabbing at JFK in 2013. we have twice as many stabbings but only 1/100th the traffic of JFK . Metal detectors , pat downs , search bags and pockets . Dogs. Show ID
Metal detectors won't change anything. Transit Center is much safer than how you'd like to portray it, the number of public safety incidences that has happened since it's official opening is very low. This happens at JFK, Port Authority, Grand Central Station - anywhere there are people, there's probability it may happen. The place is always flooded by security personnel, and I think we all need to help make the place safer. If you see a fight breaking out, alert the security officers first or call police instead of recording the incident. I love this place, it's a huge improvement compared to what we had before when we had to wait at Main, Clinton, and St. Paul exposed to the elements. Now it should be our responsibility to keep this place safe and clean.
Put metal detectors to prevent another drastic change
