Reservation highly recommended. Last I checked out Cerise, I did not have a reservation. I was immediately denied a table. Since I was staying at the hotel for a couple days, I told the host. He was able to find us a table with a nice view. If you are staying there but do not have a reservation be sure to show them your room key or room number. They'll make exceptions.
Yes you have to make reservations. If it's slow they may take a couple of people
We made a reservation, but the group before us (2 people) just came in. The host said they were coming in during a good time when it wasn't a lot of people. (It was like 2:30pm on a Fri.)
