We (party of four) were willing to sit at a table in the bar area - full menu available - and got seated immediately at 6pm on a Friday night.
If you're willing to wait 1hour and a half or little longer, go for it, so you might be ask for reservation then
Specially for weekend evenings, not a bad idea.
