You should be eligible for a trade in after the repair is complete but you will need to verify with your carrier for the complete details of what they require for a trade in. We are a Samsung Care provider so all of our parts and procedures are straight from Samsung and will return your device to in warranty if the device is still within that warranty period. Believe my galaxy S8 was about 200ish. Yes it will be eligible for the upgrade. Just may void a warranty via the manufacturer (will need to check that). Think they quoted my about $230
