The comments that have been said, are all great! Thank you! Our basic footwear package is $25 and it comes with supportive shoes that drain well, neoprene socks to keep your feet warm, and a sturdy wooden stick. With this package, your feet will be wet, but they will be protected and warm. You can rent the items individually, as well. There are a couple times of the year where drysuits are too warm and the footwear package isn't enough to keep people comfortable. We are in one of those time of the year right now. IN which case, we recommend our Drypant Package, for $45 per set, where you get a pair of pants in addition to our footwear package that is waterproof from the waist on down. To get the size and fit you desire for the Drypant and Drysuit packages, we recommend calling in advance and making a reservation. Hope to see you soon!
They have neoprene socks to go with the boots. Depends what you mean by waterproof. They won't keep your feet 100 percent dry but they also won't be damaged by water. I'd highly recommend at least renting the boots and socks. They are very heavy duty and you won't ruin a pair of your own boots. If you are hiking the Narrows in fall, winter or spring I'd also highly recommend renting the entire dry suit. It comes with a long wood pole. Hiking poles will work but are not very good. You need a long thick wood pole for stability.
