I would do the same thing and call the manager just to make sure you don't want it to be like mooby's at night.

I know this is late. Former employee here. We used to shut down the computer at midnight. Backing up the system. This shut down the registers so cash is the only payment option available. Trust me it didn't make sense to me but that's how the last 3 stores I have worked at did it.
