They have to be 14yrs, and there is a height requirement 5'. The carts are very fast. They are very easy to drive but can be tricky if you take the corners to fast. Hope that helps.

Plenty of kids compete. My son is 10 and has been doing it for over a year. There is a group younger than his. Maybe 6 years old?
