As an employee of the inn. We recommend sugar valley ad they are the only one that monitors the river levels amd will not let people on it if it is dangerous. A couple of the others in the area will not monitor as closely.
Turkey Run does not have any canoe rental options. There are several other businesses that rent canoes near Turkey Run and some of their runs go through Turkey Run park. Try Sugar Valley Canoe Trips. They do monitor the creek levels and close sections accordingly.

I had gone to sugar creek canoeing which is just beside Turkey Run. The water levels are very low when the river has high current. So even i fall, i was able to stand in the river in that current. The creek does get deep at some places, but tge flow is slow
