Yes, there is lots of kayaking
Sugar valley is where we normally go there. Right up the road from the park entrance and they have a range of day trips from 3 miles to 15 miles. Incidentally they also offer an overnight 21 mile trip that has you camp at their campgrounds.
Yes there's a place to rent Kayaks less than a mile away from the entrance.
There are a few places along the way. We camped at turkey run canoe and campground, you can rent canoes and kyacks there with out camping. They will put your boat in thecwster and oull it uo the hill for you.

I would suggest you check out Sugar Valley canoes. I've had an excellent experience getting on the river with them every time canoe or kayak
