When you rent an excavator is it insured as part of the rental agreement ? I rented one and it uncured some damage and I was told theres no insurance I am responsible sounds sketchy

Unfortunately, without insurance, you are responsible for the damage. I would check my homeowner's policy to see if it may be covered there.

You should have business insurance or carry equipment insurance before you rent equipment. You are responsible for any damages.
