If you can't get it fixed or get a new one, my suggestion is getting a new one from Best Buy. Its a heck of a lot cheaper to get a smart phone through them. You renew your 2 year contract with your provider just like you would at your provider. I only paid $50 for our galaxies and they're perfect.
You needed to have purchased an extended warranty after one year. Buy a new one and get a good warranty this time.
Unless you got an extended warrantee on it, then you are out of luck. Best to call Samsung if you wish to have it repaired. Or go to Costco if you want to get a new one 😀
It probably needs to be replaced. I had one, not from Costco, that malfunctioned. It had to be replaced.
If it's a few years old you'd probably be get the most benefit from a replacement.
Take it to customer service.
