Depends on how you made the reservation. If it is made through Groupon there should be something that says something about canceling before a certain amount of time and you can get a portion of your money back. If made directly with the hotel, I would call to ask.

I did call them. I used the "Easy As Summer" deal apparently, which means cancellation for any reason after booking results in 100% forfeiture. No 24 hours, nothing. It was in the terms (that I didn't read).
Definitely call them. I'm sure there is a policy that usually states you must give 24 hours notice.
