I've been there for lunch in the middle of the week and for dinner w friends on a Saturday night. Yes, you can expect a weekend evening to take longer, but we've never been in such a hurry that it mattered. It's a popular, busy place, serving good food, and they only have so much room in the oven.
What wait did you incur? Did you have to wait to be seated or did you have to wait for your server to show up or did you have to wait for your order to be served or did you have to wait too long to get your check? Your question is too vague.
If you order pizza with your meal during a busy time you can expect to wait double time. They make dining room pizzas a priority but when they are backed up your meals sit there waiting to be fired. So nothing is left under a heat lamp for more than a few seconds unless the servers are screwing up.

Probably because of the holiday, of course everyone wants to take Dad to his favorite restaurant.
Always been good when we've went. Usually no longer than a 10-15 minute wait.

I have been there many times and no longer wait than anywhere else. Maybe unusually large volume for Father's Day like everywhere else that is worth anything.
